Article 1 (Name)
This society shall be named the "Korean Robotic and Minimally Invasive Breast Surgery Research Society" of the Korean Society of Breast Cancer (hereinafter referred to as "the Research Society").
Article 2 (Purpose)
The Research Society aims to share the latest knowledge on minimally invasive breast surgery using robotics and endoscopy, and to promote clinical research to contribute to the advancement of diagnosis and surgical techniques in minimally invasive breast surgery.
Article 3 (Duties)
To fulfill the purpose stated in Article 2, the Research Society shall carry out the following tasks:
- 1. Develop clinical guidelines for minimally invasive breast surgery based on practical cases and expert opinion.
- 2. Support research and academic activities related to minimally invasive breast surgery and cooperate with other academic societies.
- 3. Host conferences and educational programs to activate research and education.
- 4. Establish domestic and international exchange platforms for knowledge sharing.
- 5. Carry out other activities related to the development of minimally invasive breast surgery.
Article 4 (Membership)
Any member of the Korean Society of Breast Cancer who is interested in minimally invasive breast surgery may become a member of the Research Society.
Article 5 (Executive Committee)
The Research Society shall consist of one Chairperson, a total of 20 working members including general members, nurses (1–2), and executives.
- 1. The Chairperson is appointed by the President of the Korean Society of Breast Cancer upon the recommendation of the Research Society.
- 2. Executive members are nominated by the Chairperson.
- 3. Working members are selected among the executive members.
- 4. Nurses are selected among the working members.
- 5. Additional professionals may be appointed as necessary.
Article 6 (Term)
- 1. The term for the Chairperson, executives, and working members shall be one year.
- 2. Terms may be extended based on the recommendation of the Chairperson and approval from the executives.
Article 7 (Duties of Executive Members)
Executive members shall perform the following duties:
- 1. The Chairperson represents the Research Society and oversees its operations and projects.
- 2. Executive members assist in organizing meetings and events.
- 3. Working members carry out activities such as planning and education.
- 4. Nurses support education and practical training.
- 5. Professional members contribute expert opinions and assist with technical support.
Article 8 (Working Committee)
The Working Committee shall consist of the Chairperson, general members, and nurses.
- 1. Decisions are made by a majority vote of attending members.
- 2. The committee may organize subcommittees as needed.
- 3. Subcommittees may be created to manage specific projects or fields.
Article 9 (Finance and Accounting)
- 1. All financial activities are supported by the Korean Society of Breast Cancer and reported to its board of directors.
- 2. (Membership Fee) Membership fees may be collected to support the society's operations and events.
- 3. The Treasurer is responsible for financial management.
- 4. An external auditor may be appointed annually to audit the financial records.
Article 10 (Subcommittees)
The Research Society may form subcommittees depending on its operational needs. Each subcommittee shall consist of a chairperson and members, appointed from within the Working Committee.
Article 11 (Amendments)
- 1. Amendments to these regulations shall be proposed in the Working Committee and approved by at least two-thirds of attending members.
Supplementary Provision
These regulations shall come into effect upon approval by the board of the Korean Society of Breast Cancer.
